Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Crucible mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Crucible, Inc. ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Crucible. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately at contact@thecrucibleapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access
- Not share your account with or transfer it to any other person
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Use of the Service
Permitted Use
Crucible is a fitness and training analytics platform. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes to track workouts, view health metrics, connect devices, and engage with community features.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Post, upload, or share content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or harmful to others
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or scrape the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any accounts, systems, or networks
- Sell, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our written consent
4. Health Data and Medical Disclaimer
Crucible is not a medical service. The health metrics, training analytics, recovery scores, and other data displayed in the app are provided for informational and fitness tracking purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise program, particularly if you have a pre-existing medical condition. Do not rely on Crucible's data to make medical decisions.
Health data is read from connected devices and platforms (Apple HealthKit, Garmin, WHOOP, Oura, and Fitbit) with your explicit permission. The accuracy of this data depends on the underlying devices and APIs. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of health data displayed in the app.
5. Connected Devices and Third-Party Integrations
Crucible integrates with third-party platforms including Apple HealthKit, Garmin Connect, WHOOP, Oura, and Fitbit. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective terms of service and privacy policies of those platforms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
You may disconnect any integration at any time through the app's Settings. Disconnecting a device will stop future data sync but will not automatically delete previously synced data from our servers.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you post within Crucible (posts, comments, profile information). By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without prior notice.
7. Intellectual Property
The Crucible name, logo, app design, and all related trademarks, software, and content are owned by Crucible, Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property without prior written consent.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or reliability of any data or content available through the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Crucible, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal injury, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim or (b) $50 USD.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Crucible, Inc. and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the app's Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
